HALS
Swallowing disorders occur most frequently in the context of acute infections. An endoscopic examination should be carried out both to assess whether the infection is viral or bacterial in origin and therefore whether an antibiotic may be required, as well as in the case of persistent swallowing disorders of other causes.

In the case of persistent nasal obstruction or rhinitis symptoms, chronic inflammation or malpositions inside the nose are primarily responsible in addition to the persistent acute infection.
